1841 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar. MS-64 (NGC). CAC.
Seldom-Offered 1841 Seated Dollar in Near-Gem
As with most of the other relatively common P-mint Silver Dollars from the 1840s, the second-year 1841 develops into a noteworthy condition rarity in the finer Mint State grades. High in the Condition Census for this 173,000-piece delivery, this original near-Gem exhibits vivid cobalt-blue rim highlights to pinkish-silver centers. The strike is a bit soft overall, but not significantly so for the type, and there is neither wear nor worrisome abrasions to report. More direct angles reveal modest semi-reflective tendencies to otherwise soft, satiny luster.
